About the book:
Being around Finn Madison is dangerous the same way splitting an atom is dangerous.
In theory? Inadvisable.
In reality? Catastrophic.
In my fantasies, I’m able to erase him entirely, but in real life, he’s impossible to avoid. We’re heirs to the two largest consulting agencies in the country, and we compete for bids regularly and viciously. Is it a nightmare? Yes, but it’s a recurring one, so I’ve learned to cope.
But when a client asks us to collaborate on a project together, our finely drawn battle lines don’t just blur—they’re wiped clear off the map.
Now that we’re colleagues, Finn is everywhere. He’s the press behind my eyelids and the serrated edge against my ribcage. He’s inescapable, and the more I breathe in his air and spin in his orbit, the harder it is to paint him as the villain.
When our feud finally goes too far in a spectacularly public way, the results are disastrous. To continue on the path we’re on is mutually assured destruction, but the alternative is even worse.
Because the alternative is admitting that I’ve never fought with Finn Madison because I hate him.
It’s because I might just be in love with him.
