Hello, and welcome to my new site. I feel like this was a long time coming, but I’m confident that it happened exactly when and how it was meant to. I’ve been blogging for nearly a decade now. The beginning of April 2016 was a difficult time in my life and during an intense season of changes. As we enter this new season, it seems only fitting to start by remembering how far I’ve come. Above all, I thank God, knowing that He has brought me here every step of the way, and I can’t wait to see what He has planned for me and this blog.
I also want to thank all of you! If it weren’t for the fellow readers, bloggers, authors, publishers, reviewers, VA/PRs, and everyone in between, this would have never been possible, and Books Less Travelled would never have existed. While God ultimately paved the way, without you all, I never would have learned the lessons, met the amazing people, and had the confidence and desire to start something like this. Where will it take me? I have no idea, but God knows, and I’m trusting Him to lead the way.

Even though I don’t know what to expect, I have some ideas in mind for things I’ve been wanting to try, and just couldn’t on my previous site. Growing pains are to be expected, but I’m hoping that it will be good for the site and that it will allow me to provide you with some fun and more personalized content as I get used to the changes, so be sure to keep watch for the new updates in the coming weeks.
I will probably go ahead and share some of the posts from my other wise, especially things like my author interviews and book reviews (likely with some updates), but I also want to try to focus more on original content here and finding a posting schedule that works well and balances my time between here and bookstagram. I also decided to stick with my original blog ‘theme’ look for now, but I’m working to find something that fits my goals for the blog better, since that was one of the things I had been wanting to change, and couldn’t make work before. I’ve already seen a few ideas that I like, but I need to finalize some other background details first, then I’ll start working on the appearance.

As we set out on this journey together, now seems like a wonderful time to get some feedback. I know a few things that I would like to add to the site to make it more beneficial to you, my readers. I would love to hear about what kind of content you would be interested in reading or having available here at Books Less Travelled. Would you be interested in more book reviews and/or maybe some non-bookish review-type posts? Would you like more faith posts, either Bible verses or maybe some encouragement or short Bible lessons? Interviews, guest posts, spotlights, or tags? I want to know what types of posts you most enjoy reading and what you want more of. Let me know in the comments what your favorite type of post is, and tell me about your favorite read of 2025 while you’re at it.
