My thoughts:

This ended up being a quick read for me. I have to admit that I wasn’t completely sure what to expect whe I picked this one up, but the cover was pretty and the blurb caught my attention. I haven’t read the other books in the series, and this was my first time reading this author’s work. I think perhaps it would be helpful to read these in order, but I still found this to be an enjoyable read! The author did a good job of creating an emotional and entertaining read that was just the right size. The characters were interesting and the themes of grief and healing were shared in a unique and surprising way that I found refreshing and that fit the story well.
