About the Book:

When country music star Oaken Fox joins survivalist Mike Grizz’s new adventure show in the Alaskan wilderness, he just wants to boost his fan base. But when tragedy strikes and Air One Rescue must save them, Oaken wants to quit. Too bad his producer has other plans–signing him on with Air One Rescue as a recruit and making a reality show.

EMT Boo Kingston did not join Air One Rescue to train a celebrity. But she’s a rookie to the team, so yes, she’ll train Oaken and keep him alive and not for a minute pay attention to his charm.

And then five women go missing from a resort during a bachelorette weekend gone wrong. Now, Air One and the rescue team will have to use all their skills and manpower–including Oaken–to find them before a blizzard settles in. But can they work together before tragedy strikes?

My Review:

One Last Shot by Susan May Warren
Pages: 320
Published: March 1, 2024
Series: Alaska Air One

Ahh, I’m excited for this new series by Suzie May! I honestly wasn’t sure about this one, especially since celebrities/musicians aren’t always my favorite. I ended up loving the adventures and characters in this one!

I especially enjoyed meeting Moose and Tillie, as well as getting to see Oaken hanging out with the team at the Tooth. I’m excited for more of these characters, and look forward to reading the rest of their stories! Shep also intrigued me, and I’d love to learn about him and London as well. Both were pretty secretive, which makes me all the more curious to know about their pasts.

I adored seeing the day-to-day life as well as some of the more dramatic situations they deal with as part of the Alaska Air One rescues they conduct. The diner scenes and those at the HQ were some of my favorites!

The suspense, mystery, romance, and friendships were spot-on in this one, and yet again Susan May Warren takes readers on an incredible ride! Action-packed but not without a good balance of character growth and wholesome scenes sprinkled throughout!
