I definitely planned to read this sooner, but as Bradyn says, God’s timing is perfect. I loved meeting the new cast in this one, and am even more excited for their stories now that I’ve officially met them. I usually have a favorite or two pegged early on, and while I have some suspicions about how they will end up being, I really don’t know for sure. I really enjoyed seeing them all together and seeing them interact with Tessa. Jessica Ashley is easily one of my absolute top favorite Christian romantic suspense authors, and this book is a shining example of why. Her characters are delightfully flawed in real and tangible ways; they deal with realistic struggles, and their faith is messy and uncertain at times in a way that proves it’s real. Our Christian walk isn’t easy, but with Christ, everything is better. He walks through the fiery trials, always by our side as He leads the way. This story is a beautiful example of that.
