My Review:
A Rebel’s Heart by Sara Blackard
Rating: 3.5/5
Pages: 49
Published: December 28, 2021
Series: Alaskan Rebels
This is a really short novella/prequel for Sara Blackard’s Alaskan Rebels series, and is only a few pages long. (In fact, in the ebook, it ends at around 60%, and is listed to have 49-50 pages, so only a little over half is actually this story, and the rest is a sneak peak at the next book)
I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately, but had recently discovered this series and wanted to give it a try. A Rebel’s Promise was the first book I’d heard about since it just came out not long ago, and I couldn’t wait to read it, but this one was shorter, and I’ve been beta reading so much that shorter sounded good, especially as this was a new-to-me author and I didn’t know how long the other books would likely take me to read.
While it’s super short, I found I enjoyed meeting Arne and Katie! I enjoyed their story, and felt for how short it was that is was really well done and hit all the right points to make it a good story overall, even if some things were a bit rushed to fit the shortened story format.
