I was tagged by MyBookWorld24 for this one (last year), and I decided to recycle it here on the new blog. Thanks for the tag! The creator of the Spring Cleaning Tag is Amanda from Between the Shelves. Now let’s get started!

Getting Started: A book series you’ve been wanting to read –

There are a few that I’ve had my eye on lately, but a couple that I’m really looking forward to reading are Christine Dillon’s Light of Nations and Cindy Bond’s Tactical Response Team trilogy.

Cleaning/Organizing the Closet: The best way to organize books

I don’t know about the ‘best’ but I tend to keep my series together in order, and usually keep my books sorted by author and genre. Right now, it’s a mess and needs to be sorted though, so who knows? Maybe I’ll try something new this year!

Getting rid of unnecessary things: Books/series you no longer need

I don’t really have any on my shelf right now, since I did a pretty major unhaul a few years ago, and haven’t really bought/received many in quite a while. I recently bought several that I have been wanting to read for a while, since I didn’t really buy any last year, or even much before that, and also got a few gifted to me from publishers. I probably have a few on my Goodreads shelves that can go, but none that immediately come to mind.

Get Some Air: Your favorite light-hearted read

I’m beginning to think I don’t really do ‘light-hearted’ or comfort reads, at least not the way many seem to mean the terms… I don’t know if Meeting Me, Loving You by Abigail Nadine counts? There are some heavier themes in that one too, but it’s overall much lighter than some of my other favorites. XD

Clean out the kitchen cupboards: Favorite food-themed read

Not ‘food-themed’ but I love Connilyn Cossette’s descriptions of food! I would love to be able to share a meal and try some of Mariyah’s cooking, and she’s just one of several talented chefs in her books.

Dust the shelves: What’s the fifth book on your bookshelf?

I think Fatal Past by Sarah Hamaker.

Wishing for the end: A 2026 release you’re really excited about

I feel like it’s almost cheating to say Cossette’s upcoming release, especially after just mentioning her. But its definitely one of my most anticipated books this year, and I’m excited to see how the series wraps up! Her ‘final’ books always seem to be my favorites, and this one’s been building for a while now!

And if Britt Howard ends up releasing the next McCade Family book… Honestly, there are several, I don’t even know which one I’m most excited for this year.

Long but satisfying: The longest book series you’ve read.

I’m not sure. I know I’ve read (and actually finished) a few with seven books. I’ve started some that were longer, but I think my max is often seven. I’d be willing to read more if the series really held my attention, but by that point, many series seem to have been played out, and it’s harder for series that are still being written/released, but definitely possible. But I seem to change so much in the time it takes for a series to release from beginning to end, that much more than that (unless it’s more of a rapid release thing) means that several years have likely passed, and a lot can change during that time. I’m sure there are series like that which include more books that I would likely love, but so far, that seems to be my ‘longest’ point.

Tagging –

  • You! I’m just getting back into doing tags and blogging again, so I’m not sure who still enjoyed these, but if this one sounds fun, and like something you’d enjoy sharing on your blog, go for it! I’d love to see your answers, so feel free to share the links below if you decide to join in.
