Jesse and Ella were each other’s first everything; Two souls destined to be together… until life tore them apart.

Now, ten years later, their paths cross again, reigniting old sparks that never fully faded.

When Jesse learns that Ella has moved back to Bellamy for good, he’s determined to give it another shot. But Ella’s been through more than Jesse knows. If they’re not careful, it could keep them stuck in their past and drive them apart again.

Will their love and faith be enough to get a second chance at a happily ever after?

Disclosure: I received this book free from the publisher/author. The opinions I have expressed are my own, and I was not required to write a positive review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

I knew this one was a ‘fade-to-black’ and not completely ‘clean’ story when I started it, so I admit there was some hesitation since I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the story. Still, I wanted to give it a try, and from the info provided for the ARC team, it sounded like a fun story.

Both reactions were valid, and it does have some conversations about sex, a desire to wait for sex, physical attraction, and similar conversations. I actually liked that the story took the chance to address these things, and showed how hard it is sometimes, but that a desire to follow God’s design and timing, not just for sex but for everything we face in life, made for a good story and also ended up being a relevant lesson in an enjoyable readable format.

The characters were fun, and I enjoyed the ‘small town/country’ tone and narration they used. I’ve read other books with similar settings and themes that didn’t have that, so this one was a wonderful touch in this one!
